PhD candidate Jacob Stillman receives Kirschstein award for multiple sclerosis research
PhD candidate Jacob Stillman has been awarded a prestigious Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award Individual Predoctoral Fellowship to further his research on remyelination, the process by which new myelin sheaths are generated around axons in the central nervous system, targeting diseases such as multiple sclerosis that disrupt how the brain and body communicate. The funding is from the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke.

Arrest Warrant Issued for Brockton Man in Bellingham Teen’s Shooting
By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – An arrest warrant has been issued for a Brockton man wanted in the shooting death of a Bellingham teen at a huge house party in Northborough in May. 16-year-old Ygor Correira died as shots rang out at the massive party. The Worcester DA says they are looking for Erik Dos Santos as the suspected shooter although three others are also facing gun charges. Police said at the time there were around 300 people at the party at a rented house on Howard Street and they arrived at what they called a “chaotic scene.”
