Michiganders feeling frustrated as Rite Aid closes in the state
LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - Many people are scrambling to get their prescription medications as Rite Aids across Michigan shut down for good. The Rite Aid store at the intersection of Saginaw and Waverly will close after Wednesday, and people who needed their prescriptions filled before the last day were left in a bind as stock is running low and cannot be restocked.
Law firm: Michigan's 'most dangerous' intersections are mostly in metro Detroit
Michigan Auto Law in Farmington Hills compiles an annual list of the most dangerous intersections in the state based upon findings from Michigan State Police official data. The law firm says Eleven Mile Road/I-696 at Van Dyke Avenue is the most dangerous intersection in Michigan, with 218 crashes and 52 injuries. Crashes increased 69.9% over the last five years, from 129 in 2019 to 218 in 2023.

LANSING, MI – A woman was caught on camera tucking kitten under her coat and leaving a Michigan humane society this week, WILX reports. Surveillance video at the Capital Area Humane Society shows a woman forcing open a locked kitten cage, tucking a kitten under her coat and leaving the building on Monday afternoon, the report said.
