BRIDGEWATER — One local man is turning up the heat with delicious flavors that won't break the bank and he hopes will leave you full and satisfied.

Belly Busters is a food truck business that is doing exactly what it sounds like — "busting belly's,", according to the owner, Jarrod Phillips, a longtime foodie.

The food trailer began its journey after Phillips decided to live in his truth and launch his lifelong passion for making people smile with his "delicious cooking."

For over 30 years, Phillips has worked in the food industry.

"I know a thing or two about satisfying customers," he said.

Phillips learned how to cook from his grandfather, who was a cook in the military. Every weekend, Phillips and his brother would spend time at their grandfather's house and bonding through food was a huge family hobby.

The aroma of classic soul food filled the air and found a home in young Phillips' heart.

"My grandfather inspired us all. My brother went to culinary school and opened a bistro in Australia," Phillips said.

Food has kept the family dynamic strong and followed Phillips throughout his life.

Now, Phillips has created a menu that has classic dishes but with his unique twist and that won't break the bank.

"A lot of the time, people are overpaying for food. I found a way to purchase quality food products, but I can still give the customer a good price," Phillips said.

What's on the Belly Busters menu?

The menu consists of entrees under 20 dollars, including quesadillas, toasted chicken Caesar wraps, French fries, craft burgers, fried chicken sandwiches, mozzarella sticks and chill cheese fries.

You can dive into the flavors of burgers with unique toppings, including fried onions, specialty cheeses, creamy mushrooms, over-easy eggs, jalapeno bacon, fire-roasted salsa and firecracker sauce.

    Some popular menu items include:

    • All Hail Cesar - a 14-inch flour tortilla wrap with copped crinkly French fries, lettuce, chicken, Cheese, lettuce, and butter on both sides, grilled to a crisp.
    • The Beef n Cheese - a nine-inch steak and cheese sandwich loaded with any toppings of your choice.

Greek Belly Buster - a lamb gyro with tzatziki sauce, sliced red onion, lettuce, tomato, feta cheese, chopped fries, and olives.

Buffalo Chicken Bomb - grilled chicken tenders tossed in buffalo sauce, lettuce, tomatoes, chopped fries, and blue cheese dressing.
