West Chester police are asking the public to assist in the investigation after a woman was found dead Sunday evening.

In a Monday news release, police said they are investigating the death of 33-year-old Brittany Sands. She was found dead in the tree line near the 6000 block of Schumacher Park Drive around 5:50 p.m.

Sands was from Kentucky but was known to frequent downtown Cincinnati.

Authorities ask anyone with details on her most recent whereabouts to contact the West Chester Police Department at 513-759-7272. You can also submit a tip through the township's website.

Sands had blonde hair, tattoos on both wrists and on her right ankle.

Authorities have not released any information on the manner of Sands' death.
