Three people were injured during a West Chester police chase Wednesday afternoon that ended in Fairfield.

Shortly before 2:58 p.m., a West Chester Police officer was pursuing a suspect wanted on several warrants including domestic violence and weapons charges, the police said in a statement.

The suspect's car flipped during the pursuit.

The police cruiser and a van with two people inside were hit, West Chester spokesperson Barbara Wilson said. The officer was not hurt and the people in the van suffered minor injuries.

The suspect was flown to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. His condition is unknown at this time.

Wilson says Fairfield police will investigate the crash and West Chester police will investigate the pursuit.
