HiFi Brew Lounge is a new dining and drinks lounge at the former Fox Brewing location — and there are a few familiar names behind the spot.

Driving the news: HiFi Brew is helmed by the owners of several well-known local businesses including Cooper's on 5th, Full Court Press and Renewal by Andersen, general manager JB Berkley tells Axios.

State of play: The space is an ode to their love for music and the craft beer industry, Berkley says.

The vibe: You'll find a new, updated interior with dark wood and wallpaper for a supper club aesthetic, plus a second-story lounge for live entertainment.

    • Throughout the lounge, art showcases music from the last 60 years, ranging from Run-DMC and Dolly Parton to the Grateful Dead.
    • Outside, there's a new two-level patio.

The menu: Lunch and dinner features fusion dishes like a birria grilled cheese ($16), eggplant gyro ($14) and a bulgogi sloppy Joe ($13).

    • There are also classic dishes like NY strip ($28) and gnocchi ($20).

The drinks: Mike Gauthier, known for his beer at Flix Brewhouse, helped make the lounge's brews, including a pilsner called "Jagged Little Pills" and "Ziggy Stardust," an East Coast hazy.

    • They'll have cocktails, too.

    If you go: 11am-10pm Tues.-Sat.; 11am-9pm Sun.

    • 103 South 11th Street, West Des Moines.
