Ex-employee wins $218,425 discrimination judgment against J&K Salvage for racial slurs
In March 2020, Ronald Ford got a job as a truck driver with J&K Salvage, west of York on Kings Mill Road. According to court documents, it did not go well. “Throughout Mr. Ford’s tenure,” his attorneys wrote in a complaint filed against the salvage company in federal court in Harrisburg, “he regularly witnessed and was personally subjected to racial discrimination at the hands of the owner, Joe Darrah.”

Woman dies Wednesday night in Rapho Township house fire: coroner
A 66-year-old woman died Wednesday night after emergency crews pulled her from her burning home in Rapho Township, according to the Lancaster County Coroner’s Office. Her greatest joy in life was being a mom to her 3 children and the best Mimi ever. She had a great passion for music, was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan, and loved spending time on the beach.
