Former President Donald J. Trump, the Republican candidate for president, plans to hold a rally in Harrisburg next week, his campaign announced Thursday. The event, scheduled for 6 p.m. on Wednesday, July 31, will take place at the New Holland Arena at 2300 N. Cameron St., according to a press release. Cause of motorcycle crash that killed Mount Joy Township man is undetermined: police
Police have yet to say what caused the motorcycle crash that killed a Mount Joy Township man last week near the Lancaster-Lebanon county line. Matthew Ferruzza, 28, of the 400 block of Rockwood Drive, died early July 19 after his motorcycle collided with an SUV, according to the Lancaster County Coroner’s Office. Ferruzza died of multiple traumatic injuries, and the coroner ruled his death accidental.

Emergency crews responded to a house fire on the first block of West Orange Street in Lititz Borough Thursday morning. Firefighters and EMS arrived at 18 West Orange St. in Lititz Borough just after 6 a.m. for a reported house fire. A dispatcher with Lancaster County Wide Communications said the teams got the fire under control by 6:40 and there were no reported injuries.
Woman dies Wednesday night in Rapho Township house fire: coroner
A 66-year-old woman died Wednesday night after emergency crews pulled her from her burning home in Rapho Township, according to the Lancaster County Coroner’s Office. Beth Yanni, of 2652 Lebanon Road, was pronounced dead at Lancaster General Hospital after firefighters rescued her from her single-family home on Route 72 across from the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire grounds around 8:30 p.m.
