Fasig-Tipton California Fall Yearlings Catalog Online
Fasig-Tipton has cataloged 277 entries for its California Fall Yearlings sale, to be held Sept. 24 at Fairplex in Pomona, Calif. The sale will begin at 11 a.m. PT. "We have a strong catalog for this year's sale, which annually offers the cream of the California-bred yearling crop," said Fasig-Tipton California representative Mike Machowsky. "There is a great diversity of sire power, with both leading West Coast sires and national sires represented. While this sale primarily showcases the best of the California breeding program, there are quality offerings from other state-bred programs as well."

State Senator Mike McGuire is Acting Governor While Newsom is in Chicago
A former Healdsburg High School graduate is acting as California’s Governor this week. State Senate President Pro-Temp Mike McGuire is stepping up as Acting Governor this week while Gavin Newsom is in Chicago at the Democratic National Convention. McGuire issued a statement, saying it was an honor to serve as Acting Governor while students return to school across the state, and that his office is in constant contact with Cal Fire during this hot, dry part of late summer. McGuire graduated from Healdsburg High in 1997.
