It took until the 30th pick of the seventh round, but Purdue had another one of its own hear his name called in the NFL Draft.

After playing four years at Purdue, safety Sanoussi Kane put his name in for the draft. He was no sure thing to be drafted, ranked 397 on NFL Mock Draft Database's consensus big board.

But the Ravens evidently believed in Kane enough to make him their final selection of the draft and spare the Harlem, New York native of rapid-fire undrafted free agency negotiations.

Kane, a broad-shouldered, 6-foot, 215 pound athlete, had his best season as a senior, defending seven passes and amassing 79 total tackles, with six going for loss. All were career highs.
