Top defensive back recruit enrolled at Purdue

Tarrion Grant, a consensus four-star recruit and top cornerback in the 2025 class, has reclassified to 2024, he and others announced on X Monday.

Grant has been labelled a five-star before by On3, and is by all accounts projected as a future pro.

"My goal is to make it to the league," he said in a video shared on his X account, "but I gotta get through school first."

He will help Purdue as soon as he can now, stepping in to compete for a role in a cornerbacks room which featured the least star production of any position group on the defense in failing to produce any All-Big Ten players.

To boot, of 15 winter transfers to come to Purdue, only two were corners, so Grant seems to have reclassified with the intent to play sooner rather than later.

He'll join All-American sophomore Dillon Thieneman to build a ball-hawking group behind the linebackers in 2024.
