    Purdue volleyball to play Indiana, Wisconsin inside Mackey Arena

    WEST LAFAYETTE — Before basketball season tips off, Mackey Arena will become home for Purdue volleyball .

    The Boilermakers announced they'll play two Big Ten matches at Mackey Arena during the upcoming season, their first time competing in the venue in eight years.

    The annual battle for the Monon Spike traveling trophy against rival Indiana will take place Oct. 19.

    Wisconsin, which has been to the Elite Eight six straight seasons, including four Final Fours and a national title during that span, will face Purdue on Mackey's Keady Court on Oct. 26.

    Purdue is coming off a 23-9 season where it advanced to the Sweet 16 and finished ranked 13th in the coaches poll. The Boilermakers return three All-Americans in outside hitters Eva Hudson and Chloe Chicoine as well as middle blocker Raven Colvin .

    Single game volleyball tickets go on sale at 9 a.m. Aug. 6 for John Purdue Club members and 9 a.m. Aug. 7 for the general public.
