When West Linn’s Round Table Pizza closed last year and the building’s owner offered the lease to Selina and Jeremy Klein, the couple did something they’d never done before. The Kleins, who have worked as servers, bartenders, managers and now owners in the restaurant industry for two decades, opened their new restaurant, Elden’s Restaurant and Bar, at the former Round Table location next to Walmart on Highway 43 Wednesday, July 17. ...

Massive Cougar Spotted In SE Hillsboro On Ring Camera
As a kid, I spent my formative years in NW Montana, just off the Flathead Lake, helping my folks run a fishing resort on 250 acres of wild Montana forest. It might as well have been a nature preserve. We ran into many black bears. Moose, Elk, and deer too. Badgers all the time. Lynx and Bobcat. Worst of all Wolverines. Well, there was one animal I would say was the most terrifying: the majestic but extremely dangerous Mountain Lion, aka Cougar, Puma, Catamount, Panther.
Short List: Upcoming events include Montavilla Street Fair, Chris Stapleton and JAW Festival of New Plays

Remembering the Night Dave Chappelle Took Over Portland—and Didn’t Even Perform
This story first appeared in the Oct. 9, 2013, edition of WW. Forget the Arab Spring: For me, the true power of social media emerged on July 14, 2009, the day Dave Chappelle shut down Portland. A rumor, spread via Twitter, that the elusive comic was planning to perform a surprise midnight set at Pioneer Courthouse Square on a random Tuesday drew one of the largest crowds ever to Portland’s living room. It seemed like the makings of a very successful hoax. Turns out, it was just poor event planning.
