PORTLAND, Ore. ( KOIN ) — The suspect in an armed bank robbery in West Linn has been identified as a parolee from another bank robbery.

The West Linn Polie Department announced 55-year-old Eric Provencio was arrested and accused of robbing a Key Bank at knifepoint Monday afternoon.

Provencio allegedly got his car stuck in a construction site on Hall Boulevard near Highway 217 in Tigard after the bank heist.

Police said they found Provencio thanks to a tracker embedded in the alleged stolen money. Officers arrested him in Tigard following a brief car pursuit.

According to authorities, Provencio had allegedly brandished “a large knife, (leaped) over the counter and took money from each of the teller stations” just before 12:30 p.m. He is being charged with first-degree robbery, reckless driving and eluding a police officer. Officials said Provencio is also still on parole from a federal bank robber charge.
