Crews will begin combating an invasive water plant at Minto-Brown Island Park's Oxbow Slough starting Monday. Visitors to Minto-Brown are advised to stay out of the slough during treatment times to avoid possible exposure. Treated plants will be marked with a blue-green dye to show areas treated. The herbicide is absorbed by the plants within 24 hours, and the blue dye may remain visible for weeks.

Two dead after major head-on crash east of Sandy
Two people died in a three-car crash Sunday afternoon, July 21, about 10 miles east of Sandy after a teenage driver allegedly drifted into oncoming traffic. Oregon State Police responded at 1:45 p.m. to the Highway 26 crash, at milepost 32, near Cherryville. Thousands gather for Portland Pride parade Sunday
PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Portland Pride celebrations had a stormy start Sunday, but the brief downpour wasn’t enough to rain on the parade. Thunderstorms sweep Portland, raising fire danger
Very loud thunder could be heard in Portland on Sunday morning but the worst of it is over, according to the National Weather Service in Portland.
