'Go play:' Wilsonville to host community party this month

Lake Oswego concert

Mbrascatu, which blends dance music, psych rock, and folk, will perform at 6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 18 at Millennium Plaza Park.

This concert is part of the city of Lake Oswego’s Summer Concert Series.

West Linn concert

Jennifer Batten & Full Steam will perform at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 15 at Tanner Creek Park. Ants in the Kitchen will then play at the same time and place Thursday, Aug. 22.

Wilsonville movie

The movie “Wish” will be shown at 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 23 at the Memorial Park River Shelter.

Party in the Park

The city of Wilsonville will host its Party in the Park celebration, featuring music, food, games and more, at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 22 at Town Center Park.

Street of Dreams

Street of Dreams, which features new homes from across the Portland metro area, will run from Aug. 1-18. It includes homes in Lake Oswego, Portland, Sherwood, Hillsboro and Oregon City. For more information, visit https://www.streetofdreamspdx.com/p/online-tickets.

West Linn market

The Wednesdays in Willamette Summer Street Market is put on by Historic Willamette Main Street and takes place each Wednesday afternoon on Willamette Falls Drive between 12th Street and 15th Street. The market lasts from 4-8 p.m.

The market boasts goods like handmade crafts, jewelry, distilled spirits, wine, fresh flowers and baked goods. Later in the summer, local farmers will also be on hand to sell their produce.

Lake Oswego market

The Lake Oswego Farmers Market will continue from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 17 at Millennium Plaza Park. The event will include vendors selling fresh produce, hot food, artisanal goods and more. There also will be music.
