Echo Ranch Horse Rescue is bringing three miniature horses to Rose Linn Vintage Place in West Linn for a community event Friday, Sept. 20.

The free event is set to take place at 3 p.m. in the Rose Linn Vintage Place Courtyard, located at 2330 Debok Road. Due to limited parking, free shuttle rides will be available from Parkrose Hardware at 1855 Blankenship Road.

Echo Ranch Horse Rescue is a Damascus-based nonprofit specializing in equine therapy, focusing on the therapeutic bond between the horses and people. Horses at Echo Ranch have been rescued from abusive or neglectful environments.

Rose Linn community relations director Mary Kleffner said the care center is hosting the event to let more people in West Linn know they are a part of the community.

“We try to run events that we think our residents will enjoy as well as the general public will enjoy,” Kleffner said. “We want the community to be aware that we’re a part of West Linn. We try to think of things that will bring people in.”
