Virtual reality park opens in West Manchester Twp.: 'This isn't a traditional video game'

There's a new entertainment venue in town, and it's perfect for families.

Hassan Sall recently opened Another World Virtual Reality Park in West Manchester Township as a way to give families something to do together.

"This isn't a place where mom and dad can take the kids to run around and bounce on trampolines while they sit back and just watch," Sall said. "York has enough of those places. We wanted to give people something new and bridge that gap that allows families to have fun doing the same activity together. This is an experience that the whole family can enjoy."

The Virtual Reality Park opened on June 8. It is an immersive entertainment experience that allows the players to enter a whole new world.

"Imagine stepping into a world where the boundaries between reality and imagination blur. Our park offers a diverse range of state-of-the-art VR experiences, from adrenaline-pumping adventures and fantastical realms to educational simulations and tranquil escapes," Sall said. "Each attraction is designed to transport visitors to new dimensions, offering both excitement and innovation at every turn."

Sall said that this virtual reality park offers custom-built VR setups that do not have wires attached to a console so that people can move about the 1,600 square-foot space freely. They offer 13 interactive games to choose from, suiting all skill levels and ages.

The park is designed for children 6 and older, and there is a minimum requirement of two players per gaming session and a maximum of eight players.

"This isn't a traditional video game," Sall said. "You will leave here breaking a sweat. It's a good workout because you are jumping, squatting, crawling, moving around and interacting with other players. It's fully immersive and it makes you move."

Sall added that while this is mostly geared toward families, and most of the park's clients have been families, it also makes a great spot to host corporate events and even have a date night. The park can accommodate birthday parties and larger groups, as well, with advance notice.

The park is open Monday -Thursday from 11 a.m.- 9 p.m., Friday- Saturday from 11 a.m.- 10 p.m., and on Sundays by appointment.

Each session is 60 minutes long. On weekdays, prices are $35 per person per hour, and $38 per person per hour on weekends. Holidays are priced like weekends and two and three-hour blocks can be purchased for birthday parties and events.

"It's just an awesome experience and we're so grateful for the support we've received so far from the people who have come," Sall said. "And I guarantee that once you experience this one time, you will come back."

Another World Virtual Reality Park is located at 2148 White St., Suite 7, York.
