Dallastown area man charged with shooting trooper in Lancaster as officers searched units
A Dallastown area man has been charged with shooting a Pennsylvania State Police corporal in Lancaster, according to court records and a news release. Alfredo Maldonado-Gonzalez, 40, has been charged with attempted criminal homicide of a law enforcement officer, aggravated assault, assault on law enforcement, discharge of a firearm into an occupied structure, possession of a firearm, recklessly endangering another person and receiving stolen property, the release states.

A 66-year-old woman died Wednesday night after emergency crews pulled her from her burning home in Rapho Township, according to the Lancaster County Coroner’s Office.
