ACNB Corporation announces acquisition of Traditions Bancorp, Inc
ACNB Corporation (NASDAQ: ACNB) (“ACNB”) or the “Corporation”), the financial holding company for ACNB Bank and ACNB Insurance Services, Inc., and Traditions Bancorp, Inc. (OTCPink: TRBK) (“Traditions”), holding company for Traditions Bank, York, Pennsylvania, announced Wednesday the execution of a definitive merger agreement whereby ACNB will acquire Traditions and Traditions Bank in an all-stock transaction.

John Richard Felix, 56, of Gettysburg, passed away unexpectedly on July 20, 2024. He was the loving husband of Kathryn M. Felix for 27 years. Born January 16, 1968, in Johnstown, PA, he was the devoted son of Elaine Marie Michels and the late Ronald Herbert Felix.John’s greatest joys in life were spending time with his family, fishing, and going to the beach.In addition to his wife and mother, John is survived by his step daughter, Shannon Barnich; step son, William Barnich; grandchildren, Aiden Joyner, Constance Barnich, and Jacilyn Windsor; several nieces; nephews and his pride and joy, Jaci, his English bulldog.In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Ron Felix.Services are private. Hello, Northsiders! I’m eager to share with you some of the important work I’ve been doing in Harrisburg and back at home. I was proud to cast my affirmative vote for a basic education funding bill that would help get our public schools the dollars they need to assist students, teachers and staff, and I spoke in support of the bill prior to passage. The legislation is a result of the bipartisan Basic Education Funding Commission’s findings that Pennsylvania has not fulfilled its constitutional obligations when it comes to public education.

Carlisle Man Arrested for Attempted Homicide Following Stabbing Incident
On the morning of July 20, 2024, a serious stabbing incident occurred in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, resulting in the arrest of a local man. At approximately 9:16 a.m., Carlisle Police responded to a call from the 400 block of North Hanover Street, where they discovered a victim with severe facial and neck injuries. Bystanders were providing assistance when officers arrived, and emergency medical services were promptly called to the scene.
Cornhole tournament to aid fire department
The Lower Swatara Volunteer Fire Department (LSVFD) will hold its inaugural cornhole tournament on Saturday, Aug. 10, at 10 a.m. Teams will participate in a double-elimination tournament for both bragging rights and cash prizes. The tournament, held outside the firehouse at 1350 Fulling Mill Road, Middletown, will kick off with sign-in at 9 a.m. and will feature food trucks, a live DJ, and giveaway drawings. Carlisle man arrested after allegedly asking Siri to 'play porn' in front of children at public park
CUMBERLAND COUNTY, Pa. — A Cumberland County man has been arrested after exposing himself to multiple juveniles at a public park. According to the affidavit of probable cause, on July 22 at 10:16 a.m., Carlisle police were contacted by staff members with the Carlisle Borough Parks and Recreation to check the pavilion at Letort Park in Carlisle Borough for a disturbance. According to the caller, a man with no shirt on was exposing himself and pleasuring himself with kids present.
