Two men charged in connection to theft from Adams County car dealership
Two men from Maryland have been charged by police in connection to the thefts of two cars from a dealership in Gettysburg in April. Jefferson Ventura, 18, and London Flores, 19, both of Silver Spring, Maryland, face felony charges of theft, burglary and criminal mischief related to the April 26, 2024 theft of two vehicles from the showroom of Renn Kirby Chevrolet in Straban Township.
Carroll County country bar closes after two years
The second location of a country bar and restaurant known for its line dancing and live music has closed two years after opening. C&R Pub Hampstead, an offshoot of the Towson restaurant, announced its permanent closure Tuesday in a social media post. The Towson pub at 1 W. Pennsylvania Ave. will remain open, an employee said.

The resolution makes Elizabethtown the latest of several Lancaster County municipalities to follow the lead of the county’s two Republican commissioners in adopting some form of ‘nonsanctuary’ resolution.”
Pa. State Police trooper shot, wounded while serving warrant
A Pennsylvania State Police corporal serving a warrant on Wednesday morning in Lancaster was shot in the arm by the suspect, state police said. The corporal, who was not identified, was taken to the hospital with a non-life-threatening wound, while the suspect was taken into custody at the scene by other members of the law enforcement team serving the warrant, state police said.
