Tractor-trailer crash backing up I-81 traffic in Dauphin County
A Wednesday afternoon crash involving several tractor-trailers has created a backlog of traffic on Interstate 81 near Harrisburg, PennDOT said. The left southbound lane of I-81 is closed as of 2 p.m. at exit 66 to downtown Harrisburg/Front Street, according to PennDOT spokeswoman Fritzi Schreffler. Southbound traffic is slow-moving, she said, but getting by on the right lane.

Amtrak started the fourth phase of its track renewal on the Harrisburg line Wednesday, marking the project’s halfway point, the company announced.
