Maddie & Tae coming back to Pa.: Where to buy tickets to their 2 Pa. concerts
If you missed the sold-out Maddie & Tae performance this spring in Harrisburg, you have two more chances to see them in Pa. The country music duo will perform on their “Here’s To Friends” tour on Friday, Aug. 16, at the Roxian Theatre in McKees Rocks; and on Sunday, Sept. 29, at the F.M. Kirby Center in Wilkes-Barre.
Toms River softball team loses state championship to the rules
Toms River and Hanover were playing for a state championship. The game was called when a lightning sensor went off. The Toms River Little League 12U softball team thought they still had a chance at the state championship Wednesday night and advance into tournament play but a ruling by Little League baseball ended that dream.
Pappus House
Debbie Loucks, Debra Livingston and Dr. Steven Krieger have joined the board of Pappus House, a nonprofit hospice provider in Thomasville. Loucks is retired after spending 39 years in the field of affordable housing. She was the executive director of the York Housing Authority and York Area Housing Group. She also served as interim director for Community Progress Council and ReSource York, and worked at the York County Planning Commission.

LANCASTER, Pa. – The Franklin & Marshall baseball team earned the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) Team Academic Excellence Award for the 2023-24 academic year, ABCA announced Wednesday morning. The Diplomats garner the award for the eighth-consecutive year with Franklin & Marshall being one of 181 Division III institutions and one of eight Centennial Conference schools to receive the honor. Harrisburg cancels Kipona Festival fireworks
HARRISBURG, Pa. — There will be no fireworks show this Labor Day weekend for the Kipona Festival. Harrisburg Mayor Wanda Williams announced on Wednesday that the fireworks and drone show scheduled for Kipona would not occur, after public safety incidents at two out of the last three Fourth of July events disrupted plans for fireworks shows along the Susquehanna River.
