    ASP: Tennessee men arrested in West Memphis after police chase in stolen car, guns and drugs found

    WEST MEMPHIS, Ark. – Two Tennessee men are facing felony charges after Arkansas State Police said they were arrested in West Memphis following a police chase in a stolen car.

    According to ASP troopers, a pursuit began Saturday night after witnesses reported that a vehicle was recklessly driving at the Broadway Boulevard and Martin Luther King Drive intersection. Special agents said that the driver was speeding over 100 mph.

    ASP officials said the chase continued on Interstate 55 South Service Road onto the North Service Road before attempting to flee into an area of the interstate with heavy traffic.

    State troopers said they were able to conduct a tactical vehicle intervention to end the pursuit, leading the suspects to run through a nearby field.

    State troopers said 23-year-olds Kylan Cunningham and Tre’Von Burnett were arrested and taken to the Crittenden County Detention Center.

    ASP officials said they found a stolen gun, illegal marijuana and other items inside the car, which was also reported as stolen.

    Cunningham is facing several charges, including possession of firearms by a certain person, fleeing, theft by receiving, and criminal conspiracy. Burnett is also facing a theft by receiving and criminal conspiracy charge and several others.
