1 Jar of Salsa Cost a New England Town $20,000 in Damages and Repairs
If you are like me, you read that headline and said, "Uh, WHAT?" How can one jar of salsa cost a town over $20,000?. I'll tell you how: glass. Nearly every public pool has a few rules: no outside food, and NO glass in the form of a water bottle, beer bottle, or in this case, a salsa jar.
From Newton, Massachusetts, to Scranton: John Krasinski and B.J. Novak Together for Decades
There are so many actors from New England who have made it big. From Adam Sandler to Seth Myers, Sarah Silverman, Dan Brown, Stephen King, Mandy Moore, Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, and Rachel Dratch, the list goes on and on. I have to think, however, that The Office deserves a Dundee Award for the most cast members from Massachusetts. Two of them are even from the same city.

What's the most amount of money you'll part with for a scratch ticket? Massachusetts has offered a $50 instant ticket for about 18 months now, but I've only purchased one. Scratch tickets are a great gift idea for gambling enthusiasts and are super fun to receive as well, but we all know Powerball is where the big money is at.

Campus Art Installation Series Begins this Fall
This fall, Montserrat Galleries inaugurates a series of site-responsive commissions for Montserrat’s Hardie Building featuring projects by Montserrat alumni and local artists. The first in the series is an installation for Hardie’s iconic arched front windows by the Boston-based artist, Loretta Park. An interdisciplinary artist, Park incorporates weaving and fiber-art techniques with an array of everyday objects to create colorful and tactile sculptures. Park will build on these conceptual and material foundations to create a cascading sculpture that interplays with light and color. Woven pieces of rope and plastic chains will intentionally disrupt the window’s natural light, creating shadows of varied shades and shapes. At the same time, brightly colored marbles, sea glass, and translucent fabrics will amplify, refract and soften the light, allowing it to illuminate the interior of the building in varying ways.
