Another rain chance Wednesday ahead of a pleasant end to the week
LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) – Happy Wednesday! FINALLY, some beneficial rain for most of central and eastern Kentucky. The late night rain and early morning rain has exited but we aren’t done yet. Another round of scattered afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms is expected. This is ahead of the highly anticipated cold front that will bring us a very refreshing feel for the end of the week. However, muggy conditions will remain with us on Wednesday ahead of the front. Though, temperatures will take a hit. Afternoon highs will struggle to reach the mid-80s for most, expect for southern and southeastern Kentucky where we could still reach the upper 80s and near 90. Rainfall amounts will be scattered from the rain later today into the evening, with most areas receiving light amounts with isolated heavier downpours possible.
