Hometown Heroes

West Palm Beach’s Cox Science Center & Aquarium will once again salute its military heroes.

On Saturday, June 15, the public is invited to Hometown Hero Appreciation Day.

“I know firsthand how much our military and first responders sacrifice in their service,” says Kate Arrizza, CSCA President & CEO. “After serving as an officer for seven years in the Navy, it’s an honor to bring our hometown heroes the recognition and fun they deserve.”

Veterans, active-duty military personnel, first responders, Gold Star Families and up to four guests can receive free admission to the Center an hour before the public arrives.

Special activities include military vehicle demonstrations, meet-and-greets with local armed forces representatives, live science demonstrations, and a tug-of-war competition with the troops.

Hometown Heroes Appreciation Day events will be open to the general public from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. For more information, visit coxsciencecenter.org .
