West Palm Beach’s Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League is hoping to make a positive impact on the lives of pit bulls and their owners in South Florida.

They have launched Fix-A-Bull, a program specifically for pit bull-type breeds, offering free spay and neuter surgeries, including veterinary wellness checks, free vaccinations and heartworm tests.

The program is designed to help fight pit bull overpopulation, a problem that has led to overcrowded shelters and increased euthanasia rates.

“Through this initiative, the team at Peggy Adams seeks to promote responsible pet ownership, reduce the number of unwanted litters, and enhance the overall well-being of Pit Bulls in our community,” says Sue Berry, CEO of Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League.

Starting on June 24, Fix-A-Bull appointments will be available every week. The appointments are designated for pit bull-type dogs owned in Palm Beach County only.

To schedule your pit bull for a free spay or neuter appointment, visit peggyadams.org/spayorneuter and choose an available date and time.
