Drunk driver sentenced to over 20 years after crash that killed NDCS employee
LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - A Beatrice man will serve over two decades in prison for killing a NDCS employee in a drunk driving crash. David Warren, 40, was sentenced to 21-23 years behind bars in district court Thursday for manslaughter, a class IIA felony, and DUI with cause of serious bodily injury, a class IIIA felony. He was given credit for 253 days served.

New Plea in Search for Missing Lincoln Woman
LINCOLN–(KFOR Aug. 30)–It’s been two months since anyone has seen or heard from 30-year-old Jerica Hamre. The Lincoln woman was last seen and heard from on June 25 at her home near 35th and Huntington and Lincoln Police believe she disappeared under suspicious circumstances. LPD put out the plea on social media Thursday night to ask for additional help in finding Hamre.

We caught up with QuickDraw Caricatures artist Dirk Christenen at the Pinnacle Bank Expo Center to find out more about himself and his art work. “I’ve been doing this for about 34 years professionally,” Christensen said. “My real job over the years has been a broadcaster. I worked for 35 years in Kearney and another 7 in Lexington, and I was a program director in radio.” Christensen says he did caricatures as a side job during those years, but now he’s turned his passion for drawing people into a full-time endeavor.
