Norristown man sent to prison on gun and drug charges
NORRISTOWN — A Norristown man was sentenced to prison on gun and drug charges in connection with his fentanyl trafficking activities in the Norristown area. Cadero T. Betancourt, 31, who listed addresses in the 1300 block of Arch Street and the 400 block of East Airy Street, was sentenced in Montgomery County Court to 4½ to 12 years in a state correctional institution after he pleaded guilty to felony charges of possession with intent to deliver fentanyl and persons not to possess firearms in connection with incidents that occurred in 2023.

On Monday night, a vigil was held to remember the lives lost and a community forever changed. Wanted man allegedly flees police
Williamsport, Pa. — A man wanted out of Lehigh County allegedly took off from police when they tried to take him into custody. Deputy Joshua Wolfe of the Lycoming County Sheriff's office said he was notified last month that Julian Enrique Davila, 24, had an arrest warrant and was in the Williamsport, according to charges. Wolfe made contact with Davila in the 50 block of Willow Street on June 15 around midnight, but Davila reportedly fled on foot. Wolfe gave chase and caught him two blocks later. Davila, Allentown, was charged with fleeing police and evading arrest. He previously served 10 days in jail in Lehigh County for the same charges, court records show. Docket sheet
35-year-old woman dies after golf cart accident in Monroe County (UPDATE)
A woman died at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg following a golf cart accident over the Fourth of July weekend in the Poconos, the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office said. The coroner’s office identified the woman as 35-year-old Brenna Abbinanti of Mont Clare, Pennsylvania. She was pronounced dead at 9:46 p.m. Friday at the hospital in Bethlehem.
