MINNEAPOLIS — A Hennepin County Board candidate charged with assault for allegedly throwing a tarantula and other objects at another woman is planning to stay in the race. Marisa Simonetti made a brief court appearance Thursday on charges of fifth-degree assault, where she hired legal representation on the spot after striking up a conversation with an attorney while awaiting her hearing.

ST. PAUL, Minn. – St. Thomas Tennis Head Coach, Colby Carlson, has announced the 2024 fall schedule. Three invitationals highlight the Tommies' early slate, taking place in Minnesota and Illinois. The first of three invitationals for St. Thomas begins with the Gopher Invitational Sept. 20-22 hosted by Minnesota at Baseline Tennis Center. The following weekend, the Tommies travel to Normal, Ill. to compete at Illinois State's Redbird Invitational. Following a bye weekend, St. Thomas continues on the road with an exhibition match against Augustana on Oct. 12. This will be the first match up between Tommie Tennis and the Vikings....
