WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – If you’re looking to learn about multiple cultures at once, WorldFest 2024 is the event for you.
5th annual Canines for Cancer Fundraiser held in West Springfield The event celebrates different cultures, traditions, ethnic foods, music, and dances. According to It’s West Springfield, Inc., there will be children’s puzzles, helium balloons, purple, green, and yellow beads handed out, and a silent auction of gift certificates to the Majestic Theater, Six Flags, restaurants, and more.
“It’s an opportunity for folks to visit the world right in West Springfield. There has been interest from the Turkish, Irish, Italian, Russian, Chinese, Indian, and other associations, many of which have their Western Massachusetts offices located in West Springfield or other nearby cities. West Springfield has a Sister City in Ireland and one in Italy,” explained Roberta Page, president of It’s West Springfield, the community, non-profit, organization initiating and coordinating the event.
There will be a $5.00 admission charge for adults, and students from elementary up to high school can attend for free. The Festival will go from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Dante Club in West Springfield.
