Mitsubishi Electric invests $143.5 million on heat pump compressor manufacturing plant in Kentucky
Mitsubishi Electric US (MEUS) has announced plans to expand manufacturing in Maysville, Kentucky. The company will invest $143.5 million to repurpose an existing manufacturing facility, which will be used to manufacture heat pump compressors. This will be the first U.S. factory to produce advanced twin-rotary variable capacity compressors, which are often manufactured in Asia. The project will create 122 new jobs for the surrounding area.

Northwest Local School District said that both Colerain and Northwest High School will implement what are called "Yondr Bags" to create a phone-free space.
