CHARLESTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The West Virginia Department of Health’s Bureau for Public Health has introduced a new tool for residents to access their vaccine records.

Through the MyIRMobile system, patients can now view their immunization history and print their official records.

Speaking about the initiative, Sec. Sherri Young emphasized the importance of immunizations in maintaining good health and described the new resource as a means to provide people with the most current healthcare information available.

The data used in the system is directly retrieved from the West Virginia Statewide Immunization Information System (WVSIIS) and can be accessed from any computer or smart device, thereby reducing the administrative workload on healthcare provider staff.

The portal allows West Virginia patients, parents, and legal guardians to access their personal vaccine records. MyIR offers a straightforward registration process that enables users to create and activate an account.

It utilizes a 2-step verification process to match the registration information with the immunization registry and allows users to add dependents under the age of 18 to their account.

Once the registration is verified, users can view and print their vaccination records on demand. The certified vaccination records provided by the portal are accepted as proof of immunization.

MyIR adheres to HIPAA guidelines, ensuring that records are only accessible to authorized users. Additionally, support for MyIR is available by phone at (304) 356-4047 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.
