Local High School Football Schedules

Fall practice begins this Monday, Aug. 5 for most high school teams around the state as football is almost literally right around the corner. Here is a look at the football schedules for the Spartans, Cavaliers, and Mavericks as the 2024 high school season is set to get underway on August 30.

Greenbrier East:

8/30– vs. Riverside

9/6– vs. Woodrow Wilson

9/13– at Bluefield

9/20– at Alleghany

10/4– at Shady Spring

10/11– at Oak Hill

10/18– vs. Nicholas County

10/25– at Summers County

11/1– vs. Princeton

11/8– vs. Nitro

Greenbrier West:

8/30– at Pendleton County

9/6– vs. Summers County

9/20– at Pocahontas County

9/27– vs. Man

10/4– vs. Fort Frye (OH)

10/11– at James Monroe

10/18– at Petersburg

10/25– vs. Sherman

11/1– at Midland Trail

*Another game could be added at a later date for 9/13*

James Monroe:

8/30– vs. Wheeling Central Catholic

9/6– vs. Shady Spring

9/13– vs. Pikeview

9/20– at Liberty

9/27– vs. Narrows (VA)

10/4– at Summers County

10/11– vs. Greenbrier West
