Plants, livestock feeling impacts of West Virginia's continuing drought
CLARKSBURG, W.Va. (WV News) — As drought sweeps across West Virginia, a decline in vegetation has become increasingly severe. The highlands region and mountains in the Eastern Panhandle are now in an extreme drought and are seeing leaf browning and impacts on vegetation, said Steve Kannenberg, assistant professor of biology at the WVU Eberly College of Arts and Sciences.

ALDI recalls produce items due to potential listeria contamination
BATAVIA, Illinois — ALDI Inc., in cooperation with Wiers Farm, Inc. and R.S. Hanline Co Inc., has announced a recall of Freshire Farms jalapenos, green peppers, and green beans due to potential contamination with Listeria monocytogenes. The recall affects products sold in select stores across Kentucky, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia.
