People in Zimbabwe are facing a hunger crisis amid the worst drought in several decades, and churches in the U.S. are stepping up to help. The Nyadire Connection, a faith-based nonprofit founded by individuals from a network of United Methodist churches in Pittsburgh, has been in partnership with the United Methodist Nyadire Mission community for 18 years. Woman shoots teen girl in the neck in North Philly, police say
Police are searching for a woman who they say shot a teen girl in the neck in North Philadelphia Tuesday night. Police responded to a reported shooting at a home on the 1400 block of West Loudon Street shortly after 8:15 p.m. on July 23, 2024. When they arrived, they found a 15-year-old girl who had been shot in the neck. The teen was taken to the hospital where she remains in critical condition.

Philadelphia police name 16-year-old who was shot execution-style in Oxford Circle
