PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A recent rash of car vandalism in Philadelphia's Fairmount section has left dozens of windows shattered and glove compartments ransacked.Residents said they feel uneasy and that they are looking for answers.Police are again on the lookout for vandals who destroyed close to two dozen car windows overnight Tuesday in Fairmount and Francisville.The vandalism happened as detectives were actively investigating other incidents over the last several weeks in which vandals hit cars in neighboring areas."It's really a problem," Jess, who lives in Fairmount, said. 16-year-old killed execution-style in Philadelphia; 3 gunmen wanted for firing 50 shots
Philadelphia police are searching for three gunmen after a teenager was killed execution-style on Tuesday afternoon.It happened around 4 p.m. in the 1200 block of Van Kirk Street in the city's Oxford Circle section.Officers found the 16-year-old victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds while lying on the ground behind a home on the block.He was rushed to an area hospital where he later died.According to Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector Scott Small, three gunmen were seen chasing the victim while opening fire.Police provide update on Oxford Circle murder on July 23, 2024.After the victim collapses in the driveway, video reportedly shows at least two gunmen standing over the teen while shooting at him just a few feet away."So it appears to be an execution-type homicide, since the shooters are seen on camera standing over the victim, and we also found multiple spent shell casing just inches away," said Small.More than 50 gunshots were fired.The suspects were last seen fleeing in a white sedan.The teenager's name has not been released.Anyone with information can call or text Philadelphia police at 215-686-TIPS (8477).RELATED: Check the 6abc Neighborhood Safety Tracker
