Rome residents can soon apply for money from $1 million-plus recovery fund
Rome, N.Y. — Rome residents harmed by severe thunderstorms and a tornado that plowed through the city last week can soon apply to a recovery fund, officials said. About $175,000 has already been raised for the Rome Victims Recovery Fund, according to Anthony Picente Jr., the Oneida County executive. The county plans to contribute $1 million, he said.

Acquitted Arson Suspect Sues Fire Department
A woman who was acquitted of arson charges last year for a fire that occurred in 2022, has filed suit against the Binghamton Fire Department and several law enforcement agencies that she claims were responsible for her malicious prosecution and fourteen months of incarceration. Syracuse residents can now buy a second trash cart from city if one isn't enough
Syracuse, N.Y. — If the 96-gallon trash cart Syracuse households received last year isn’t big enough, residents will soon be able to get a second container.
