State police issue warrant for man accused of raping child in Adams County
Police issued an arrest warrant for a man they have charged with allegedly raping a child in Adams County, according to court records. Warren Schelhaus, 40, who was identified as an East Berlin resident in 2022 court documents, was charged by Pennsylvania State Police with felony counts of rape of a child, statutory sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault, sexual assault, and indecent assault to a child, in court documents filed on Monday, June 24, 2024.

About a month ago, Cortney Bench noticed Mechanicsburg borough workers spray painting pink marks on the sidewalk in front of her home on Broad Street. The workers told her husband the borough was preparing for a paving project, but first the sidewalks needed to be fixed. Two weeks later, the couple received a bill for $4,000. Bench’s mother, Brenda Miller, who lives near her, got a bill for an eye-popping $9,200.

A $1 million scratch-off lottery ticket was sold in Adams County last week, according to the Pennsylvania Lottery. A 50-year-old man died at SCI Camp Hill this week, officials said on Wednesday, one day after announcing another man was killed by his cellmate. Bryan Conrad, 50, was found unresponsive in his cell on Monday, the Department of Corrections said in a Wednesday news release.
