After combing over statistics and results, and with the guidance of local athletic directors and coaches, we at the Daily News selected All-Stars for baseball, softball, boys and girls lacrosse , boys and girls tennis, boys and girls track and field , boys volleyball and rugby.
Although the sports and skill sets may vary, there’s no denying that this group put up otherworldly numbers this spring while helping their respective teams find success – whether that be on the diamond, field, court or track.
Without further ado, the Daily News presents its 2024 All-Stars for boys tennis:
Henrique Abecasis, Wayland
One of the Warriors’ No. 1 doubles players, the senior was named a Dual County League all-star. He helped power Wayland’s return to the Division 2 Final Four with his partner Josh Proctor. They went 9-3 and earned wins over Weston – the Division 3 state champion, Cambridge Rindge & Latin and Hopkinton twice.
Kaden Chen, Westborough
The sophomore secured the Division 2 state title for the Rangers after a marathon No. 1 singles match against Duxbury. The sophomore was named the Mid-Wach A MVP. Chen finished the season 16-0.

Jordan Cohen, Framingham
The junior has been the Flyers captain for the past two years. He has yet to lose a match in the state tournament, as Framingham fell in the opening round of the Division 1 bracket. His 4-11 record came in one of the state’s best leagues. He was a Bay State all-star.
Brendan Estaphan, Westborough
He was a senior doubles stalwart on a Rangers lineup that shifted through the season on the way to a Division 2 state championship. Estaphan played No. 1 doubles with fellow all-star Eehab Khan during the state tournament. They compiled a 7-2 record together, while Estaphan was 13-4.
Max Glick, Dover-Sherborn
The Raiders’ MVP posted a 17-2 record, leading D-S to the Division 3 quarterfinals. He was a TVL all-star. “A gentleman on and off the court - a fierce competitor and leader,” D-S coach Laura McGovern said.
Srinjoy Gosh, Westborough
The senior captain played in four state finals in his career and ended it with a Division 2 title. He was a Mid-Wach A all-star with a 16-1 record. “Srinjoy is a tenacious competitor and a leader on and off the court,” Westborough coach Leonard O’Neil said.
Arthas Goutham, Wellesley
The Raiders’ team MVP went 8-9 at No. 1 singles against one of the state’s toughest schedules. He was a Bay State all-star and picked up victories against Lincoln-Sudbury, Andover, Framingham, Natick and Walpole. Wellesley advanced to the Division 1 Round of 16.

Jordan Hlawek, Westborough
The Mid-Wach A all-star played No. 2 doubles a year ago and worked his way into a singles position in 2024. Hlawek went 13-2 at No. 3 singles and played some matches higher up the ladder for the Division 2 state champions. “He came into the season much improved,” Westborough coach Leonard O’Neil said.
Brendan Ip, Wayland
The Warriors No. 3 singles player went 12-1. One win came at No. 2 singles, and he picked up victories against Concord Carlisle, Westford Academy and Acton Boxboro en route to a Division 2 Final Four berth. “It's nice to be able to count on winning one spot in a match before the match even begins,” Wayland coach Shawn Powers said.
Eehab Khan, Westborough
He led the Rangers to a Division 2 state championship after three years of heartbreaking losses in the finals. The senior played at No. 1 doubles and put up an 11-4 record, including 7-2 with Brendan Estaphan.
Joe Krattenmaker, Hopkinton
The freshman was the Tri Valley League MVP and a singles all-star. He went 11-6, 10-4 in the regular season and 9-2 in league play. Hopkinton reached the Division 2 quarterfinals. “Joe is an intense competitor. He has battled some of the state’s best tennis players,” Hopkinton coach Mike Miller said. “He continues to learn and gain valuable experience from each match he plays, smiles easily, and has been warmly welcomed by his teammates.”
Toby Kylberger, Wayland
The Warriors’ No. 1 singles player led Wayland back to the Division 2 Final Four. He managed an 8-6 record against a challenging schedule. He earned victories against Cambridge Rindge & Latin, Hopkinton and L-S. Kylberger was named a Dual-County League all-star.
Double threats: Wayland, up from Division 3, and Hopkinton are both boys tennis title contenders in Div. 2
Alex Menard, Medway
One half of the Mustangs’ No. 1 doubles pairing, the junior was a unanimous TVL All-Star with his partner Tommy Stotz. They went 9-5 during the regular season but won two matches in the Division 3 state tournament, as Medway upset both No. 8 Pioneer Valley Christian and No. 9 Medfield en route to the Elite Eight. “Alex and Tommy could consistently be counted on to compete and often win at No. 1 doubles,” Medway coach Jeff Kearney said. “This took the pressure off other players on our team.”
Josh Proctor, Wayland
One half of the Warriors’ No. 1 doubles team, the junior was named a DCL all-star. He and Henrique Abecasis compiled a 9-3 record and pushed Wayland to the Division 2 Final Four. “Henrique and Josh play very well together and have a great understanding of the game of doubles,” Wayland coach Shawn Powers said.
Rishit Shekhar, Hopkinton
The Hillers’ No. 2 singles player stepped up from doubles play to singles and was named a TVL all-star. He went undefeated in league play. The captain helped lead No. 12 Hopkinton to the Division 2 quarterfinals.
Tommy Stotz, Medway
The Mustangs’ other No. 1 doubles player was also a unanimous TVL All-Star as a sophomore. He and Menard were 9-5 during the regular season and earned key wins in No. 25 Medway’s upsets against No. 8 Pioneer Christian and No. 9 Medfield in the Division 3 state tournament on the way to the Elite Eight. “Our doubles teams were the key to our run,” Medway coach Jeff Kerney said. “”They were really strong down the stretch as they got more and more comfortable playing as a doubles team.”
