(Adair Co) Crossroads Behavioral Health provided an update to the Adair County Board of Supervisors this morning on the school programming they implemented with the Opioid Settlement funding.

The programs center around substance abuse and mental health. One of the programs in the High School is Reconnecting Youth which is for students who are at higher risk or are already starting to participate in behaviors that are potentially leading them down a path of drug abuse.

Jess Petter told the Supervisors that everything has been going really well.

There is another program going on in the Middle Schools for 7th graders and Petter said they are on implementation four out of five.

Petter said they are working on getting things set up for a summer program so any of the kids with high needs can join the summer program.
