(Adair Co) Adair County Engineer Nick Kauffman updated the Board of Supervisors this morning on current maintenance and activities.

Kauffman noted some changes in bridge weight limits.

Kauffman said they’ll try to get those bridges worked in for replacement in the next year or two.

As far as other projects, Kauffman said the the culvert liner project on Henry A Wallace, south of G61, should start Monday. On August 14th they will start stabilization on the Wallace Center road. Widening should start on August 15th on Henry A Wallace Road. On August 13th they will have a pre-pour meeting with Murphy Construction for the bridge deck project in Lincoln Township. Gus Construction should start back filling the box culvert in Richland Township on Thursday. And, next week they should start replacing the Arbor Hill pipe that has been missing.

Kauffman also spoke about the Tornado cleanup. He said they have been working on the FEMA spreadsheets and they have their second meeting with FEMA on Friday.

Those numbers are for the cost of equipment and man hours and are subject to change.

In other news, the Supervisors approved a longevity raise for Secondary Roads employee Nathan Jensen and received a report from the Veterans Affairs Director and Commissioner.
