Former John Deere Employees Consider Suing for Wrongful Termination

(Moline, IL) Former John Deere employees in the Midwest might sue the company for alleged wrongful termination. Attorney Megan Bonanni that Ford and John Deere used the same consulting firm to craft a layoff strategy.

The Michigan firm represented former Ford employees who sued the automaker, claiming age discrimination was a factor in layoffs there. They say their analysis of Deere layoffs shows glaring similarities. Deere has not responded to a request for comment. The company let nearly 300 salaried workers go at the end of July and nearly 150 production workers across Iowa and Illinois this year.
