Progress Continues with Atlantic Splash Pad Project

(Atlantic) Fundraising efforts began in April of 2022, and this week, construction crews laid the concrete for the new Splash Pad located just east of the Sunnyside Pool in Atlantic.

Jeremy Butler with the Atlantic Splash Pad Committee says it is exciting to see the progress. Butler joked he was the first person to play on the Splash Pad.

Butler says the plumbing is complete; it’s just waiting for the features to arrive. Jeremy says the goal is for the construction to be done in October.

The Splash Pad, including the overflow zone, is 5,000 square feet, and the surface with the features is a little over 4,000 square feet; the entire project will have 25 and 30 features.
