(Neola, IA) — Tri Center has been hovering around the .500 mark in recent football seasons and if they are break out of that trend, they will need several things this season.

First, the Trojans need to get out to a better start — last season it was a 64-27 loss to AHSTW and then a 35-6 defeat to Treynor. Tri Center Head Coach Ryan Schroder

Second, Tri Center must find a quarterback. Isaac Wohlhuter threw for 1167 yards and 11 TD a year ago but has now graduated — Schroder says there are two guys vying for the position Sophomore AJ Harder and Junior Cael Witt. Schroder also says he needs to figure out starters in the defensive secondary.

The last area for Tri Center to focus on is building around Senior Carter Kunze and Junior Zach Nelson and getting them in the end zone. Kunze led the team in rushing with 1,120 yards but only six touchdowns while Nelson was the leading receiver with 47 catches for 527 yards and 9 TD.

Tri Center opens their season next Friday, August 30 hosting AHSTW.
