(Cass Co) The Cass County Board of Supervisors this morning approved ARPA Funds for the Anita Food Pantry parking lot improvements in the amount of $15,000.

Tim Miller said they received some grant money and other funding to go toward this parking lot project. He said they are still working out the details of the paving.

The Supervisors also approved allocating ARPA funds to the City of Griswold Land of Oz Housing Development lift station in the amount of $35,000. Board Chairman Steve Baier explained how the lift station will work.

The Supervisors noted that they are getting close to using up all of the ARPA funds.

On March 11, 2021, President Biden signed the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) into law with the intention to combat the COVID-19 pandemic. Funding from the plan allows local governments to address community needs.
