Atlantic Head Coach Joe Brummer Previews Offensive Lineup for Friday Nights Opener

(Atlantic) Atlantic Head Football Coach Joe Brummer says the first three weeks of preseason practice went well, and now it’s go-time on Friday night—the Trojans field 77 players on the roster, including 20 seniors.

The offensive line provides the most significant paragraph in the post-game story, and this year, Coach Brummer is counting on four veterans and others competing for spots.

Atlantic replaces receiver Colton Rasmussen, who ended the season with over 600 receiving yards, with Jarrett Hansen, the second-leading receiver from one year ago.

The Trojans lost Dante Hedrington, last season’s leading rusher, to graduation. They feature returning starter Gavin McLaren and Tyson O’Brien, and Ethan McNeal will tote the ball from the tailback position.

In addition to the veteran players, Coach Brummer returns a veteran group of assistant coaches: Lee Saathoff, Matt Mullenix, Oran Perkins, Bryce Smith, Matt Best, and Athletic Trainer Andy Niemann.
