The building that was home to Famous Dave’s and Diya Bistro at 917 Quince Orchard Rd in Gaithersburg is set to be demolished. it has been fenced off for a while, with signage for Monocacy Custom Services (Excavation and Demolition) up on the fence. Last month we reported that an amendment to the Schematic Development Plan (SDP) was filed, requesting to construct 297 unit multi-family building on the corner of Quince Orchard Rd and Great Seneca Highway.

ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The Maryland Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is awarding $35.8 million from the Chesapeake and Atlantic Coastal Bays Trust Fund to 34 ecological restoration projects encompassing 122 sites throughout the state for Fiscal Year 2025. The projects were selected to improve water quality and habitat in the Chesapeake Bay watershed while building local resilience to climate impacts.
