Motorcyclist in critical condition after running into tree off Mud Mill Road in Cicero
CICERO, N.Y. — A man in his early 30's was taken to Upstate University Hospital after hitting a tree while driving a motorcycle in Cicero on Wednesday, July 3. The first 911 dispatch for the crash came at 9:36 p.m. after a 911 call was placed by a passerby on Mud Mill Road near the intersection of McKinley Road in the Town of Cicero.
As Micron project looms, one family stays put on proposed Clay site
Clay, N.Y. – On maps of the planned Micron Technology campus in Clay sits a trio of boxes, outlined in red, straddling the northern end of Burnet Road. Those three parcels, totaling 22 acres, are the only pieces of land Onondaga County has not gobbled up for Micron to build an enormous chipmaking plant. The county Industrial Development Agency now owns about 1,400 acres of fields, forests and wetlands. (See map below.)

NY weather update: Flash flood warning affecting Broome and Delaware counties Thursday night
An updated flash flood warning was issued by the National Weather Service on Thursday at 7:56 p.m. in effect until 10 p.m. for Broome and Delaware counties. "At 7:56 p.m., Doppler radar indicated that the showers and thunderstorms that produced heavy rain across the warned area have weakened and were moving east of the warned area. Between 2.5 and 4 inches of rain have fallen based on rain gauge and radar estimates. Additional rainfall amounts up to one half inch are still possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly," according to the weather service. "Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas."
2 People Wanted By New York State Police
Do you know either of these two individuals? New York State Police want to speak to them in connection to a crime. New York State Police at Homer need your help in identifying these two suspects - a male and a female. Trooper responded to a call at the Walmart on Bennie Road in Cortlandville on May 14, 2024. It was reported that the two suspects left the store with a full cart of items and did not try to pay for the items. The suspects fled the Walmart in a black pickup truck. Despite their best efforts, Troopers have not been able to locate the suspects and need the public's help identifying them.
